Activities

Assisted by a coordinating secretariat, the researchers of the Association’s members are active in the following fields

In organising and implementing joint research projects. Bundling of resources e.g. by sharing samples for multiple testing as well as staff exchange among institutions result in more efficiency and effectiveness.

  1. A network (Triangle Network) is active in validating new methods of quality research.
  2. A joint research project of four member institutes was performed on the topic “Organic, More Healthy? In search for biomarkers”

In establishing a joint Research Agenda on topics that have a high priority in organic food quality & health research.

In organising Scientific Workshops for members on concepts and research methodologies that do justice to organic systemic thinking

In organising international scientific conferences on organic food quality and health.

In monitoring the scientific quality of collective research projects, publications and conferences through a scientific advisory committee.

In entertaining active interaction with the organic food business and consumer groups to discuss research questions and results, for example on the yearly BioFach Workshop.

In running a website: www.organicfqhresearch.org

In bringing out an FQH Newsletter, three times a year

In publishing reports and articles related and relevant to the subject of organic food quality and health.

In mobilising financial resources for the afore mentioned activities from within and outside the association.
